The tour will introduce you to the gastronomical world of Florence and Tuscany. We will have a first visit to one of the most famous chocolate maker of Florence, seeing how chocolate is produced and of course tasting it. Then our walk will proceed through the markets of Florence tasting typical Tuscan cheeses and cold cuts – prosciutto, finocchiona, soprassata, salame... and some wine from the markets stalls. Then a gelato tasting in one of the best known and historical
gelato shop in the center of Florence. The owner will show us how gelato is made and let us taste
the various flavors all made with biological ingredient and fruits!

Wine and Oil in Chianti - How wine is produced, followed by a wine tasting session in the fresh dark cellars. The cellar master will explain the differences among the wines we will taste and how they matches with certain foods. This tour can be combined with the above mentioned oil tasting and/or with stops for shopping at the village we will find along the way as Greve in Chianti with stops to butcher shops to trace the origins of the bistecca alla fiorentina.

Cooking Class in the Florentine Hills – Food shopping at a local market in the center of Florence followed by a drive to the hills above the city to start your lesson in a beautiful '500 ancient villa. According to the season, we will prepare a typical Tuscan menu which is usually composed of appetizers, a pasta dish (fresh or dry pasta), a second course with seasonal vegetables and a dessert. The lunch that you have prepared will be served in the garden under the shadows of secular trees if weather permits, otherwise in the frescoed rooms of the villa. The owner usually like to show the property which also include a private 18th Century chapel.
